With a design concept of Venice at twilight, known as the city’s most beautiful moment, the new system kitchen “INO Premium Venezia” uniquely adopts handmade mirror manufactured by skilled artisans at an atelier in Venice. The beautiful decorative pattern performed by engraving technology* on the mirror requires high level of artisan skill. Meanwhile, the edge of the mirror is cut at a slant to add stereoscopic effect. Adopting the traditional technology, the surface of the mirror is carefully splayed by hand and finished with an antique touch. The interior image reflected in the whole kitchen creates a gentle and profound air.

Birth of an interior showroom with “eco” design

The Nagoya Head office showroom of Toyo Kitchen & Living, which proposes new lifestyles themed on “Living in your kitchen,” has been fully renovated for a grand reopening. The design plan is by Mr. Yukio Hashimoto, a world-famous designer from Aichi Prefecture. The facade expresses environmental recycling. Displayed on the two floors, totaling approximately 1,000 m2 of space, are 27 kitchen sets, as well as a large number of additional interior items by global brands. The interior showroom enables visitors to grasp the interior image first-hand by actually putting them in the living-dining-kitchen space, which constitutes the core part of most residential homes. The rebirth of TOYO KITCHEN STYLE Nagoya is the first project in Nagoya for Mr. Hashimoto.

Flower motif stool

Masanori Umeda, an interior designer, has been awarded many prizes for his upholsteries, such as GETSUEN, ROSE and RAN (orchid), created with images of flowers. Anemone is a stool designed with a motif of an anemone flower. Its stainless steel parts, such as the seat, leg and base, are all hand-made by Toyo Kitchen’s craftsmen. The seat has an improved feeling of comfort, realized through the application of flexibility, one of the characteristics of stainless steel.

Beauty in the Essence of Materials

Pursuing the beauty of interiors on the theme of the “Inhabitable Kitchen,” Toyo Kitchen has adopted “materials” as one of its key solutions. The ultimate material discovered by the company is gold leaf from Kanazawa. INO Premium Gold has been created by extracting the beauty of Kanazawa gold leafa fruit of traditional craftsmanship with the innate hue of goldand fusing it with kitchen functions. Serving not only as a pomp-filled expression but also as a representation of traditional Japanese culture, this material, infused with noble gracefulness, creates a supreme interior for those seeking something real and authentic.

Kitchens adorned with Karim Rashid graphics

“Ornamentation is a modus operandi for communication” says Karim Rashid. He calls graphic designs created by digital technology “digipop” and applies them to a wide range of products. Embellished with graphics bursting with energy, the kitchens acquire the presence of pop art. Karim Rashid kitchens are available in the INO, CORE, and BAY series, in a limited quantity of 8 sets.
